Happy Christmas to all...

This has truly been a semester to remember; horrible classes, a few drunk crazy weekends, lots of good times, and somehow I managed to get really good grades as well. (:  It always surprises me how awesome things are in retrospect.

So I would like to say thank you to everyone who made this a surprisingly wonderful semester.... ya'll know who you are. (;

And maybe this year I'll actually keep up with this thing on a regular basis..... maybe.

Hey, everyone loves a good Charlie Brown Christmas Tree...... (:

Summer, oh summer...

Every weekend I ride my bike down to the battery and around Charleston to remind myself why I am here.  Since I started this tradition [at the beginning of this school year], I have yet to wear anything more than shorts & a tank top on these bike-rides.

I hope that summer stays here forever; I can live happily without fall & winter.  Definitely.

Thank you bike for taking me to so many fabulous places.  I'll love you forever for never letting me forget how beautiful the world is.

Happiness is.....

-taking long bike roads on sunny, breezy Friday afternoons

-re-discovering a favorite tank top

-still seeing summer flowers 2 weeks before Fall

-the sound of waves & the wind rustling the leaves/branches of palm trees

-feeling a sense of "home" away from Home

-smiling at strangers who smile back

-the calm feeling and sense of freedom that happens at the beginning of the weekend

-windows w a great view

-living in Charleston.

often times I forget how truly lucky I am to be here.  I need to remember to appreciate all of the amazing opportunities I've had [& will have] in life.

Since 29 June....

-Summer came and went.

Julia, Sydney, Amanda, and Ms. Debra went to the beach one weekend to celebrate Julia getting married.  I realize that's the purpose of a bachelorette party, however, we just couldn't wait til Nov. to really celebrate.

Here are just a few memories from that fantastic weekend...

Thanks for all the great memories ladies :)

sunny sunday

Today is little Ian's birthday and Kim had a fabulous pool party to celebrate. She called me in as a 'lifeguard', meaning I was to watch the pool & help out whenever a mom needed an extra hand C: It was really great seeing all the little ones swimming and having so much fun. They also decided to keep the puppy, Bella!

Afterwards, I hurried home to shower before attending a piano concert by Walter Hautzig at Winthrop with Miss Sydney. It was amazing! His Chopin pieces were absolutely heavenly, even though I was hungry enough to eat all my tic-tacs by the end C:

Found some food after the concert & went back to Syd's to finish season 3 of SATC.

At Syd's, her dad had gotten her some amazing necklaces from this great Asian store that was closing down in Charlotte - and being the fantastic friend that she is, she gave me one! It was my favorite of the lot, and, quite conveniently, her least favorite C: So, I am now in the possession of a beautiful necklace that I can hardly bear to take off.
